Full Description

Discover a guided tour of the Lateran Palace, the ancient papal seat. Located next to the Basilica of St. John Lateran, this building was for centuries the center of the Church’s spiritual and political power....

During the tour, you will explore ten frescoed rooms, including the monumental Hall of Daniel, decorated with biblical scenes and a Renaissance vault celebrating the life of the prophet.

The itinerary continues through the private quarters of the Bishop of Rome: the dining room, the bedroom with bathroom, the library, and the antechamber, offering an intimate look into the daily life of the Pope.

Particularly moving is the private chapel, the Pope’s personal place of prayer, adorned with a ceiling celebrating the Resurrection of Christ and a majolica-tiled floor.
After the guided visit, you can continue independently to discover the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Cloister, and the Chapel of the Sancta Sanctorum.
