Full Description
Discover the artistic and spiritual treasures of the Vatican on this small-group Skip the Line Vatican Tour, offering a rich and immersive journey through centuries of history, beauty, and faith....
With your reserved entry tickets, you’ll skip the long lines and step straight inside the Vatican Museums, beginning your tour in the Pinecone Courtyard and the Octagonal Courtyard, home to the famous Belvedere Torso. Continue through the Round Room to admire the grand Constantine coffins, and explore the Gallery of Tapestries, where intricate Renaissance works from Raphael’s pupils come to life.
Next, walk through the Gallery of Maps, a breathtaking corridor lined with 16th-century frescoes that trace the geography of Italy centuries ago. Then, enter the legendary Raphael Rooms, recently restored to their original brilliance. Stand before The School of Athens, Raphael’s masterpiece celebrating philosophy and human genius.
The highlight of your visit awaits: Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. Gaze up at the 8,000 square feet of frescoes that changed the course of art history — from the Creation of Adam to the Last Judgment.
Your journey concludes with exclusive access to St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the most magnificent churches in the world. Inside, admire Michelangelo’s moving Pietà and Bernini’s colossal bronze baldachin. After the guided tour, you may stay as long as you wish to explore St. Peter’s Square, the Papal Tombs, or even climb to the top of the Dome for a panoramic view of Vatican City.
